Meet the people who have pulled up a chair, grabbed a slice, and joined the conversation.
Featured guestsFrom the Pizza ’n’ Popcorn guest archive
Welcome to the Pantry area of the Pizza ’n’ Popcorn – a popcast blog, where the guest list hits like movie night featuring the Avengers: Endgame—but instead of hammers and shields they come with slices, snacks, and zero pretentious energy. Where thought leaders, healers, creators, and full-on main characters pull up and put their integrity (and a little pride) on the line. We get to see who or what survives while we dig through an endless bucket of freshly popped kettle corn. Think Hot Slice chaos, Late Night & Early Morning laughs, and the kind of conversations you’d have at 1 a.m. when the pizza box is empty but the popcorn bowl somehow isn’t and who the hell left pizza grease on the mic?
We’re popcasting up comedy, satire, and the occasional truth bomb, because life’s too short not to laugh at it. Our guests aren’t here to flex résumés but maybe embellish their latest Game of Thrones late night sequel, we will be rewriting origin stories, villain arcs, and Shakespearean monologues while being refreshingly unfiltered along the way. So grab your snack-sized escape into the ridiculous and the relatable, bring your appetite for nonsense and your sense of humor, and enjoy the show. Extra cheese and sarcasm served hot and ready. Batteries not included.
Website: Nya’s InstaShameless Plug: As a designer and self-described hobbyist who apparently looks at every hobby and says, “You know what Nya? This should be a business.” Nya embodies the Baskin Robbins philosophy that 31 flavors of ice cream is not enough and before we even get started, we have to address the biggest mystery of the episode: Was she the baby that was almost thrown out with the bathwater? If you know you know, and yes she was born in a bathtub. Yes, a bathtub. Somewhere between a Saturday Night Live cold open and the origin story nobody saw coming like Avengers Doomday, we have the beginning of a life that eventually led her from growing up in the States to making the move back to “the islands”. If her life were a movie, the title would be Who’s That Girl? which feels appropriate because tonight we’re going to find out. When she’s not balancing six Korean dramas she has jewelry on the brain, and when it’s time to relax, she has her own signature beverage situationship involving white wine, cranberry juice, and water, because apparently even the drink needs a plot twist and some lime. But underneath the laughs is a story about identity, home, and what happens when you leave one place behind and return to another with a whole lifetime of experiences in between. So grab your pizza, secure the popcorn preferably buttered, and settle in as we talk about moving to the islands, finding your way back home, turning hobbies into businesses, and the stories you collect along the way like Pokémon cards. And if we had one imaginary slice to share with anyone tonight, it would go to her mom, because there’s a story there about returning home to St. Croix that we definitely want to hear.
